I heard Dave Ramsey say today that "September is like the 'New' New Year". The logic is this: we go back to work after vacation, we go back to school, the weather changes, for some the fiscal year ends etc.
I think he's on to something. I know in my life September brings the start of my teaching season (Tue. nights), Master's Commission, and our family birthday/anniversary season. We have so many things starting up that there is this "New Year" type of energy. It's exciting!
I'm thankful for the Grace of God that has helped me stick to most, if not all of my goals for the new year. That never happens! I still have a long way to go, but I'm definitely closer now than I was in January. Even though it's August, it's not to late to start working on your 2nd New Year.
