The Voice of Truth

It's been a crazy day to say the least. Lots of little things trying to appear big. I was driving with my wife kind of venting about some stuff and a song on the radio jumped out at me. I had all these thoughts running through my head:

"What about this?"
"When is the call going to come?"
"What's the deal with so and so?"
"Why is traffic moving so slow!?"

And then discouragement started creeping in:

"Isn't it sad that they won"t...?"
"How could they say that about...?"
"It's really disappointing that..."
"Can you really handle this...?"

And then the words of the song hit me like a ton of bricks:

"The voice of truth tells me a different story. The voice of truth says do not be afraid. The voice of truth says this is for My Glory. Out of all the voices calling out to me...I will choose to listen AND believe the voice of truth."

I'm not a big Casting Crowns fan, but I'm thankful for their ministry! So encouraging! God help me to listen to the voice of truth!
