Yesterday was a prayer and fast day for MCC. It was an awesome experience. We spent some time in silence. We prayed in different locations. We prayed for...everything. It was neat. The best thing about the day as when we wrote our own personal belief statements. Not many people can articulate their core values and beliefs. I think it is very healthy for believers to open up the word, get some paper, and spell out what they believe. I'm pretty confident most people can not do that because they either don't know what they believe,or they have just followed what someone else told them is truth.If you don't know what you stand for and why, you'll fall for anything.
Anyway, we felt it important to pause the schedule and take some time to focus before we head our separate ways for Christmas break. It was a good day.
